 Macaroni, a hollow tubular shaped pasta, is commonly cut in short lengths; curved macaroni is referred to as elbow macaroni.  The staple shape for traditional Mac'n'Cheese here in the U.S.  A very versatile pasta shape, you may utilize as an addition to soups, or chill it after cooking to make a light pasta salad.
